"Local", in the regulations below, is defined as "Vancouver Island and the adjoining Gulf Islands”. 2. All crafts must be produced locally from original materials. No assembled items, kits, or resale items are permitted. 3. All agricultural or related products must be produced locally. ( In some cases with manager approval and with the condition that it does not conflict with other vendors, BC ‘off-island’ products can be sold, for example Okanagan Cherries). In the case of off-island products the Market Manager will provide signage which the Vendor must post in a visible manner. 4. The Peninsula Country Market reserves the right to regulate the type and nature of produce or crafts offered for sale and the display of those products. Price undercutting and product dumping will not be tolerated. 5. It is the responsibility of food vendors to follow the Capital Regional Health Regulations. A copy of the required approval forms and/or permits must be available for inspection each market day. 6. Food vendors must register their products for sale with the Market Manager according to the food vendor application. The Vendor is required to notify the Market Manager of any changes in their products for sale. 7. The Peninsula Country Market has liability insurance to cover the hours of the Market; however it will not accept responsibility for the negligence of individual stall holders. Every stall holder is required to ensure that their home owner, business, or other insurance policy covers them for participation in the Market. 8. For reasons of safety, stall holders' vehicles should not be moved during the Market hours, and must be off the field area used by the customers no later than 8:45 a. m. Please limit parking on site to one vehicle. Extra vehicles should be parked in the parking lot. 9. Stall holders are responsible for keeping their areas tidy and for removing any litter left in their area after the Market. 10.The Market is open to the public from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Please do not arrive before 7:45 a. m., but do arrive in time to be set up by 8:45 a.m. and do not leave before 1:00p.m. This is mandatory. Vendors arriving after 8:30am on Market day may find their space has been reassigned. 11.Vendors who have booked in advance must confirm their participation by 8 p.m. of the Thursday before the Market. Leave a message at 250-216-0521, or advise the Manager at the previous Market. Failing to comply with this rule will result in a $5.00 penalty which will be collected on your next market day. 12.Fees are payable by 10:00 a.m. on Market Day and will be collected by the Market Manager. 13.Vendors are required to leave their dogs at home, if not, Vendors must keep their dogs on a leash at all times. 14.A zero tolerance policy for any type of participant aggression is in effect. 15.The Peninsula Country Market reserves the right to deny space to any vendor not complying with these regulations, and to close any vendor who is found in violation of these regulations during the market.
